Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Asteraki Spaces collects and uses your personal data when you visit this website or contact us. It is written for the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
Asteraki Spaces, Gudrun Rebekka Danikas Hรถhenweg 14a, Unteraegeri 6314, Switzerland. Email: studio@asterakispaces.com
What data we collect
When you send an enquiry. Your name, email address and the details you give us about your property, the spaces, your budget, your timing and your project. We use this only to reply to you, to prepare an offer and, if we work together, to carry out the project.
When we work together. Contact and billing details, plans, photos of your home and correspondence needed to deliver the project and to meet our accounting obligations.
When you browse the website. Our website host, Squarespace, automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This keeps the site secure and working, and gives us anonymous visitor statistics.
Cookies
The website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers who help us run the studio:
Squarespace (website hosting, enquiry form and statistics), Squarespace Inc., USA, and Squarespace Ireland Ltd.
Google (email and calendar), Google LLC, USA, and Google Ireland Ltd.
Suppliers, craftspeople and contractors on your project, only with your agreement and only the details they need.
Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the USA. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your data to answer your enquiry and to perform a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to meet legal obligations such as bookkeeping (Art. 6(1)(c)), and for our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
How long we keep data
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted after 12 months. Project and billing records are kept for 10 years, as Swiss law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Write to studio@asterakispaces.com. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority (in Greece: the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, www.dpa.gr).
